Google's stock performance after the initial public offering has enabled many early employees to receive a good compensation. Following the company's IPO, founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page and CEO Eric Schmidt requested that their base salary be reduced to L dollars. He has turned down several offers made by the company to increase salaries, mainly because his salary is still supplemented by Google's stock ownership. Before 2004, Schmidt was earning $ 250,000 a year, and Page and Brin were earning $ 150,000 each.

In 2007 and early 2008, many top executives left Google. In October 2007, YouTube's former chief financial officer Gideon Yu joined Facebook with Benjamin Ling, a senior engineer (engineer). In March 2008, Sheryl Sandberg, then vice president of online sales and operations, started work at Facebook as chief operating officer, while Ash Aldefrovie, former president of brand advertising, quit Google for NetShop, an online retail company that was founded in 2009 by HeyNeedle Named, become Chief Marketing Officer in. As a persuasion technique, Google uses a policy often called the Innovation Time Off, in which Google encourages engineers to spend 20 percent of their work time on projects of interest to them. Some of Google's new services such as Gmail, Google News, Orkut and Adsense have originated from these independent efforts. In a conversation at Stanford University, Marissa Mayer, vice president of search product and user experience at Google, showed that more than half of the new products were the origin of the innovation time of product launch.

In March 2011, Universum, a consulting (consulting) firm, released data that Google was selected by nearly 25 percent of the 10,000 young professionals asked for first place in the model employers list. This means that almost twice as many youths opted for Google.
