In 2004, Google created a non-profit site Google.org, including an initial $ 1 billion fund for philanthropy. The mission of this organization is to spread awareness about climate change, global public health and global poverty. The first of its first projects was the development of a provable plug-in hybrid electric vehicle that would set 100 miles per gallon. In 2004, Google selected Dr. Larry Brilliant as Executive Director of the program and is currently the director of the program Megan Smith.

In 2008, Google announced its "Project 10100", which accepted ideas on the issue of helping the community and then allowing the Google user to vote on their favorite idea. After two years of silence, during which people began to wonder what the outcome of the program was, Google announced the winners of the project from various measures, such as a non-profit organization promoting education, to a website that allows all legitimate documents to be released to the public. And intends to do it online by directing $ 10 million.

In 2011, Google donated one million euros to the International Mathematical Olympiad in support of its next five-year International Mathematical Olympiads (2011–2015).

गूगल द्वारा जनता का उपकार (लोकोपकार)

सन् 2004 में, गूगल ने लोकोपकार के लिए 1 अरब डॉलर के शुरुआती फंड सहित, लाभ-रहित साइट Google.org गठन किया। इस संगठन का मिशन जलवायु परिवर्तन, वैश्विक लोक-स्वास्थ्य और वैश्विक गरीबी के सम्बन्ध में जागरूकता फैलाना है। इसकी प्रथम परियोजनाओं में से पहली एक साध्य प्लग-इन हाइब्रिड विद्युत वाहन, जो 100 मील प्रति गैलन तय करेगी, का विकास था। सन् 2004 में गूगल ने डॉ॰ लैरी ब्रिलियंट को कार्यक्रम के कार्यकारी निदेशक के रूप में चुना और वर्तमान में मेगन स्मिथ कार्यक्रम की निदेशिका हैं।

सन् 2008 में गूगल ने अपनी “परियोजना 10100” की घोषणा की, जो समुदाय के मदद के मुद्दे पर विचारों को स्वीकारता था और फिर गूगल उपयोगकर्ता को अपने पसंदीदा विचार पर वोट करने की अनुमति देता था। दो वर्षों की खामोशी के बाद, जिसके दौरान लोग सोचने लगे कि कार्यक्रम का क्या फल था, गूगल ने इस परियोजना के विजेताओं जिन्होनें विभिन्न उपाय जैसे कि शिक्षा को बढ़ावा देने वाले गैर-लाभ संगठन से लेकर एक ऐसी वेबसाइट जो सभी वैध दस्तावेज़ों को सार्वजनिक तथा ऑनलाइन करने का इरादा रखती हो को 10 मिलियन डॉलर देकर प्रत्यक्ष किया।

सन् 2011 में, गूगल ने 10 लाख यूरो का दान इंटरनेशनल मैथमैटिकल ओलंपियाड को उसके अगले पाँच वर्ष के इंटरनेशनल मैथमैटिकल ओलंपियाडों (2011-2015) के समर्थन में किया।
