A final decision on the country -- or countries -- hosting the Asia Cup will be taken on the sidelines of the IPL final, which will be attended by a host of top Asian Cricket Council (ACC) dignitaries, BCCI secretary Jay Shah said on Thursday. "As of now, the decision with regards to hosting of Asia Cup hasn't yet been finalised. We are busy with IPL but the top dignitaries of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), Bangladesh and Afghanistan Cricket Board are coming to watch the IPL final. We will have a discussion and take a final decision in due course," Jay Shah told PTI. Lucknow Super Giants had a forgettable outing against Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2023 Eliminator in Chennai on Wednesday. Chasing a 183-run target, LSG fell short by 81 runs to be knocked out of the race for a final berth. Marcus Stoinis was LSG's best batter with a score of 40. Till the time he was at the crease, it looked like LSG were in with a chance despite wickets falling at the other end. However, his innings was cut short in the 12th over of the chase after a bizarre run out. Facing MI's Cameron Green , Stoinis and fellow batter Deepak Hooda ran for a couple of runs on the fifth delivery. Former India head coach Ravi Shastri has picked his XI for the Rohit Sharma -led side ahead of the World Test Championship (WTC) against Australia, starting from June 7 at the Oval in London. Former Indian cricket team batter Sanjay Manjrekar felt that Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni was a bit desperate during his team's Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 playoff match against Gujarat Titans and it was clear from the episode involving Matheesha Pathirana . During the 16th over of the GT innings, the umpire did not allow Pathirana to bowl as he was not eligible for leaving the field.
