Ajinkya Rahane Could Be Considered For WTC Final: BCCI Sources

A true veteran of the game, Ajinkya Rahane has given his stocks a big boost for consitent performances in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 for Chennai Super Kings. Though it's been a while since Rahane played for the Indian national team, his IPL form could see him earn a recall in the Test team for the forthcoming World Test Championship final against Australia. With Shreyas Iyer out injured, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) sources informed NDTV that Rahane could be in line for a return. It was in January last year that Rahane last featured for the Indian team in a Test match. His appearance came against South Africa at Newlands. Since then, the veteran batter has been on the sidelines, owing to poor form. Though T20 and Test cricket stand poles apart from each other, Rahane's exploits for CSK seem to have impressed the BCCI bosses who are contemplating his return for the WTC final. So far in the 16th edition of IPL, Rahane has scored 209 runs at an a...

"Paid The Price...": Prithvi Shaw's Fitness Under Scanner As DC Drop Star

Prithvi Shaw is definitely not going through the best of his times. The batter scored 47 runs across 6 matches for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2023 before he was not even named in the list of substitute players during the side's victory against SunRisers Hyderabad at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Monday. Former New Zealand cricketer Simon Doull has criticised out-of-form batter Shaw. Doull has questioned his fitness and added that the youngster hsa paid the price of not adjusting his game. "You can't continue down the same road. If things aren't working you have to change it up and he has to understand that where he is at in his game. It's just not good enough. There was an incident with the run-out situation in Bangalore with (David) Warner. He sat on the backside of the bench the whole time when Delhi were fielding and did nothing and later when he came out he was lazy with the running. These little things in the game that come back to haunt you at times. He ...

She tells me the truth, simple," Virat Kohli said in a conversation with ex-CSK star Robin Uthappa on Jio Cinema. "There is no mollycoddling. Because no one else is (real). there are always so many layers. She is like, my responsibility is to tell you...

The David Warner -led Delhi Capitals clinched a low-scoring thriller against SunRisers Hyderabad at the latter's home-ground in an IPL 2023 game on Monday. Off-spin allrounder Sundar (4-0-28-3) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (4-0-11-2) exposed the batting frailties of Delhi Capitals' in the first half of the game to restrict them to 144/9 after David Warner opted to bat.
