Watch: Pakistan Handed 5-Run Penalty Following Epic Brain Fade By Keeper

A bizarre scene unfolded in the Women's T20 World Cup 2023 clash between Pakistan and England when five penalty runs were awarded to the English team because of an error by Pakistani wicket-keeper Sidra Nawaz. Nawaz took off her gloves to collect the ball during the 15th over of England's batting but had no clue about what was to happen next. After Nawaz collected the ball from a fielder, she dropped it on the discarded glove that was lying right in front of her on the ground, prompting the umpires to slap a 5-run penalty to Pakistan. The on-field umpires had a discussion for a small interval before deciding to award 5 runs to England. Here's the video: View this post on Instagram A post shared by ICC (@icc) As for the match, Nat Sciver -Brunt continued her dominance of the Women's T20 World Cup group stage as England crushed Pakistan by 114 runs. Matt Henry Set To Return As New Zealand Bid To Square Series With England

Seamer Matt Henry is set to make his comeback in the red-ball format in the second and final Test of the ongoing series against England. Henry missed the opening Test, which saw hosts New Zealand suffer a 267-run defeat at the hands of England, with an injury. In the absence of the injured Kyle Jamieson and ace left-arm quick Trent Boult deciding to sit out, Henry will shoulder the bowling burden and the onus will be on him to provide breakthroughs for the Kiwis with the new ball alongside skipper Tim Southee. Expectations will be high on comeback man Henry as he is the leading wicket-taker in the Plunket Shield this season. In 3 matches in the domestic Shield, Henry has demonstrated explosive form, picking up a whopping 23 wickets. The seamer will now set his sights on a similar haul in the second and final Test against the Three Lions, which will help the hosts square the series. Opening up on his comeback Test at the Basin Reserve, which is expected to see a sell-out crowd, Henry...

Wolvaardt, Brits Take South Africa To Women's T20 World Cup Semis

Laura Wolvaardt and Tazmin Brits took South Africa to the Women's T20 World Cup semi-finals with an unbeaten century partnership against Bangladesh in Cape Town on Tuesday. South Africa won by ten wickets at Newlands after restricting Bangladesh to 113 for six, and will play England in the last four at the same ground on Friday. Wolvaardt made 66 not out and Brits was unbeaten on 50 as the home side made 117 for no wickets, winning with 13 balls to spare. South Africa, New Zealand and Sri Lanka all had two wins from their four matches in Group One but South Africa had a net run rate to finish second in the group behind unbeaten Australia. It was a less than imposing performance by the host nation in the field against a team that had lost all three of their previous matches. No batter was able to score more than captain Nigar Sultana 's 30 but aggressive running between wickets enabled Bangladesh to keep the score moving, aided by some nervy errors in the field by South Afr...

"Can We Leave KL Rahul Alone?": Harbhajan Urges Amid Raging Twitter Feud

KL Rahul 's struggles on the cricket field has triggered a war on social media, with former India cricketers Venkatesh Prasad and Aakash Chopra going head to head over their perception of the player. While Prasad has been a staunch critic of Rahul, questioning his place in the Indian Test team amid repeated failures, Chopra went on to call Venkatesh an 'agenda paddler' over his criticism of the batter. Now, Harbhajan Singh has jumped into the debate calling the duo to leave Rahul alone. Taking to Twitter, the former India off-spinner wrote: "Can we leave @klrahul alone guys? He hasn't done any crime. He is still a top player. He will come back strong. We all go through such patches in international cricket. He is not the first one and last one. So please respect the fact that he is our own player and have faith." Can we leave @klrahul alone guys ? He hasn't done any crime. He is still a top player. "An Eventuality": Indian Star On Chances Of KL Rahul Getting Dropped

The entire Indian cricketing spectrum seems to be asking for a change as KL Rahul 's struggles with the bat continue. Not just in Tests, the opening batter has been unproductive across formats for a while now. While there's no denying the potential he has, some former cricketers and experts are asking for Rahul to be replaced with Shubman Gill . Dinesh Karthik , who has turned into a pundit, also feels that Rahul would benefit from some time off from the game. "I think he [KL Rahul] played the best shot possible to that ball. But he would also know that if he is going to be dropped for the remaining matches, which is pretty much an eventuality, it is not because of this one innings. It is because of what has happened and transpired over the last five or six Test matches," said Karthik in his analysis of Rahul on Cricbuzz . Karthik continued to maintain that he holds Rahul in high regard and called him a 'very good' batter across formats. But, keeping in mind...
